Driven by her passion for working alongside innovative companies that are changing the world with technological innovations, Li Li, one of Akona IP’s founders, is regarded for continually leveraging her deep engineering expertise and market knowledge to maximize the value of her clients’ technology advancements.

Along with her experience in IP transactions and patent litigation, Li’s practice includes patent portfolio management, patentability analyses, product development counseling, freedom to operate assessments, patent enforcement, and IP due diligence.

Prior to joining Akona IP, Li worked as an electrical engineer at GE Healthcare. Her academic experience as a materials scientist continues to give her a multifaceted perspective in developing IP strategies for her clients.

Additionally, Li has built successful global patent portfolios in technical fields including AI processors, autonomous systems, computer vision, digital health, neural networks, optics, semiconductor manufacturing, sensors, and virtual, augmented, and mixed reality systems.
